About the job you're considering
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management Team supporting the Cloud and Infrastructure business in the UK. As part of the Engagement Management Community, you'll be leading planning sessions and creating detailed project plans for the delivery of technology enabled transformation projects across many sectors and environments, including our ever-growing Cyber practise. The team are based across the UK, with a variety of skillsets from all-rounders to subject matter experts, such as the Project Planner role. What they all have in common is the desire to deliver excellence to our varied customer base supporting the business aims and goals of those organisations.
Hybrid working
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
- You will be responsible for all aspects of project planning.
- You will be outlining the scope of projects against contracts.
- Creating project plans using MSP, identifying and evaluating risks.
- Ensuring that the Project Management team with comprehensive project data to help them deliver more effectively.

Your skills and experience
- Build plans to support complex Projects and Programmes through Sales/Bids and Delivery and maintain and track activities on complex Project and Programme through the delivery lifecycle and lead Planning sessions and identification and design of appropriate work breakdown structures.
- Significant experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project and promote Planning Best Practice standards on all engagements
- Scenario Planning, Critical Path Analysis, milestone Reporting, Inter-dependency tracking and impact analysis.
- Promote a standard approach to planning using templates and best practices and produce required resource profiles from Microsoft Project to support resource onboarding and tracking.
- Peer review of existing plans against standards and best practice and provide guidance to colleagues on planning and use of Microsoft Project and assist Engagement Managers in risk identification.
- Confidence and gravitas in front of clients, project team and 3rd parties and experience of preparing and presenting project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
