Location: London N1 (Hybrid, 3 days per week on site)
Contract: 6-month FTC

Pay Rate: £48,000 per year (pro rata)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Property & Safety Manager - EHMT to take ownership of property and building safety management at a tall and complex mixed tenure scheme. The role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing safety management strategies, and engaging with residents to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the responsible person for capturing and maintaining building/asset information in IT systems to the highest standards
  • Keep up to date with building safety legislation and support review of services to ensure alignment with requirements
  • Draft, implement, and manage estate/building management strategies for safety and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Building Safety Manager to maintain and manage the building Safety Case (fire safety and compliance)
  • Conduct and monitor estate inspections, ensuring accurate records and prompt resolution of issues
  • Oversee compliance servicing, responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and contractor relationships
  • Support investigations and enquiries from residents, providing advice and guidance
  • Lead service delivery for fire safety, estate budgets, resident engagement, estate strategy, and contract management
  • Contribute to new ways of working across compliance, safety, and contract management teams
  • Use data to identify performance improvements and set challenging but achievable targets
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, hearings, and forums as needed
  • Ensure strong financial performance, accurate service charge estimates, and transparent accounts in collaboration with finance teams

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of building safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Experience managing tall and complex buildings within mixed tenure schemes
  • Strong track record in contract and stakeholder management
  • Excellent resident engagement and communication skills
  • Experience in budget management and financial accountability
  • Ability to use data to drive service performance and improvements

Desirable

  • Prior experience within housing associations or property management organisations
  • Knowledge of estate expenditure and service charge processes
