Location: City Wharf (hybrid, 3 days on-site)

Contract: 6-month FTC

Hours: Full time

Pay Rate / Salary: £48,000 p.a. (£24,000 for 6 months)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Property & Safety Manager to lead on compliance, fire safety, and estate management across a mixed-tenure scheme at City Wharf. This role will be pivotal in ensuring residents' safety, statutory compliance, and excellent service delivery while building strong relationships with residents, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all building and asset information is accurate and maintained in IT systems.
  • Stay up to date with building safety legislation and support alignment of services with requirements.
  • Draft and implement estate management strategies to maximise safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the Building Safety Manager to maintain Safety Cases for tall/complex buildings.
  • Conduct regular estate inspections, maintain records, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage compliance servicing, repairs, and planned maintenance for the scheme.
  • Support case workers with investigations, resident enquiries, and escalations.
  • Oversee service delivery in areas including:
  • Fire safety & compliance
  • Estate expenditure and budget management
  • Resident engagement
  • Estate management strategy documentation
  • Contract management
  • Use data to set and achieve performance targets, driving service improvements.
  • Represent HA at meetings, forums, and project groups, providing specialist advice.
  • Monitor contractor performance and provide feedback on deficiencies.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of building safety and compliance regulations.
  • Experience managing estates, fire safety, and resident engagement in housing.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working on mixed-tenure or complex housing schemes.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (CIH, IOSH, RICS, TPI.)
