Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of compelling technical and commercial proposals for large-scale energy projects.
- Interpret RFQs and technical specifications to align customer needs with engineered solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Organise site visits, supplier meetings, and subcontractor discussions to inform accurate scoping and costing.
- Support and guide Sales Engineers during client engagements and tender clarifications.
- Identify and manage technical and commercial risks throughout the proposal phase.
- Prepare RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors; review quotations and integrate them into final bids.
- Act as the primary customer contact for all proposal-related matters.
- Ensure seamless handover of successful bids to project execution teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement within the proposals function.
- Drive compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- 5+ years of experience in technical proposals or engineering sales.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
- Proven track record leading complex bid development processes.
- Skilled in interpreting technical documentation and negotiating commercial terms.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on risk and value analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
