Overview

We are looking for a freelance (part-time flexible contract) Python/Django Developer to take on the role of lead developer with one of our clients in the financial services industry.

The project aims to automate existing Excel-based data transformation and analysis processes with a Python/Django pipeline for ETL, machine learning and data storage. Keeping Excel as the core end user interface, we leverage Django REST Framework to expose an API for ingesting data from Excel as well as returning dynamically created reports to be displayed within the Excel client.

As lead developer you will also take on a mentoring role for the internal client team who we have been upskilling in Python, pandas and Django in order to contribute their own specialist domain knowledge for process automation.
