About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious professional to play a leading role in the delivery of cost consultancy and project management services on a range of high-profile developments.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing all aspects of pre- and post-contract cost management, including cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
* Preparing detailed cost estimates, tender documentation, and bills of quantities.
* Leading value engineering and risk management exercises.
* Administering contracts and managing change control throughout the project lifecycle.
* Delivering accurate cost reporting and financial analysis to clients.
* Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Mentoring and guiding junior members of the cost consultancy team.
About the Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
* MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership with significant relevant experience).
* Experienced in both pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple sectors.
* Commercially astute with strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
* Confident working independently, managing projects, and engaging with clients.
* Excellent communicator with well-developed negotiation and report-writing skills.
* Motivated, proactive, and able to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
