MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our @one Alliance framework. The @one Alliance is a collaborative organization comprising seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

The @one Alliance is entering its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7, during which they will deliver a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years. Are you ready to join us as we prepare to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP yet?

What will you be doing as our new Senior Quantity Surveyor?

You will act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing support to both delivery management and on-site teams. Your responsibilities will include controlling costs, maximizing value, minimizing future liabilities, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will oversee full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for projects as assigned by the Project Commercial Manager.
• Ensure robust cost management processes with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis for commercial decisions.
• Ensure all project team members understand contractual arrangements to meet Client & Partner requirements.
• Collaborate with the Delivery Team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain proper records, including final accounts, for audits and cost assurance.

To be considered, you should have extensive experience in cost management. A Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, management, or a related discipline is beneficial, but passion and desire to pursue a career in Commercial Management are most important. You should demonstrate first-class customer service and leadership skills, with in-depth knowledge of construction and safety. Comfort in challenging processes and practices to improve the commercial offering is essential.
