FJA is recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their team.

Senior Quantity Surveyor role: The role involves managing all stages of assigned contracts, from tendering to final account settlement, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Commercial Manager. This position is office-based.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the commercial plan to manage risk and drive profitability
• Measuring and valuing construction work, both on-site and from drawings, to support valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Establishing valuation dates, preparing and submitting interim valuations, and securing client agreement
• Developing and submitting claims for delay, disruption, and loss/expense
• Procurement of non-domestic subcontractors and assisting the Buying Department with procurement of domestic subcontractors
• Preparing various financial reports

Requirements:

• Relevant degree/qualification
• Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
• NEC3 experience
• Working towards or holding chartered membership of a recognized institution
