About the Role

This commercial role sits within a leading multidisciplinary design and build contractor, supporting key clients across the water, power, energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and food & beverage sectors. The organisation is deeply rooted in engineering excellence and infrastructure delivery, with over a century of collective experience across its divisions.

You will play a key role in managing cashflow, valuing works, and supporting weekly/monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs). You'll liaise closely with suppliers and subcontractors, track and improve performance, and ensure compliance with KPIs and contract terms.

You’ll also be actively involved in client negotiations, performance monitoring, and commercial governance — contributing directly to smart changes that enhance efficiency, compliance, and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external clients

Ensure timely invoicing and collection of outstanding cash

Manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events

Support accurate reporting on productivity, cost, and value

Engage in performance negotiations on KPIs and unit rates

Oversee supplier and subcontractor management

Present commercial insights and support strategic decisions

What You'll Bring

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent experience

In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC)

Strong commercial awareness and experience in construction/infrastructure sectors

Skilled in project controls and programming techniques

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
