The retail arm of a London Market Insurer is actively hiring for a Senior Reinsurance Technician with a Credit Control background to join the team in a pivotal role ensuring the rigorous management of reinsurance technical accounts across Europe.

You will be part of a team of 5 based in their brand new offices in central London and will have oversight of an offshore team providing day-to-day support.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Oversight of the settlement of reinsurance premiums and ensuring robust credit control processes are in place and followed.
2. Ensure premium payables and reinsurance recoveries collection targets are continuously achieved.
3. Lead the setup and review of reinsurance contracts, slips, premium allocations, and cover notes issued by third parties.
4. Challenge processes and develop action plans to enhance efficiency, propose solutions, and strengthen controls.
5. Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and meet business goals.

You will have:

• Significant experience in the Reinsurance sector and strong knowledge of technical reinsurance principles.
• Proven expertise in credit control within Insurance/Reinsurance.
• A proactive approach towards process improvement and the ability to provide examples of this.
• An open-minded and adaptable attitude to fast-growing and changing environments.
• The ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
