Our global Subsurface Research Team delivers integrated research, data analysis and industry-leading thought leadership, across the geo-energy landscape, enabling customers to make quicker, more effective decisions.The scope, integrity and connectivity of our Subsurface dataset are foundational to our goal of delivering the market’s leading Subsurface solution. Additionally, the integration of high quality technical and commercial data is critical to enabling our customers to execute high value workflows and deliver data-driven insights to inform investment decisions for the Energy Transition. Reporting into our Subsurface Research Leadership, an experienced, highly motivated, innovative and performance oriented Senior Analyst is required to ensure analytics readiness, across our Subsurface dataset, for the EMEA region.**Main Responsibilities*** Work with the Upstream data function, Subsurface research analysts and the regional Upstream research teams, to ensure delivery of the Subsurface data expansion plan, including meeting agreed data coverage, completeness, integrity and timing OKRs – warranting that all options to deliver the plan have been explored / utilised* Work with Subsurface research analysts, and the Upstream product function, to ensure seamless connectivity (e.g. across basins, plays, prospects, wells and field reservoirs) of our Subsurface dataset* Ensure the that our Subsurface dataset is analytics ready for customers. Collaborate with our Upstream regional research teams to affect a cultural shift in Subsurface data accountability* Support the delivery of our Subsurface Value Creation Plan roadmap through deep participation in, and collaboration across, the associated workstreams* Build and develop a strong relationship network with our customers. Engage to understand their use cases, workflows, pain points and data needs in support of the continuous improvement of our offer* Help to build organisational capability within the data function through teaching, coaching and advising less experienced staff in support of Subsurface data excellence* Support the Subsurface team’s vision and agenda and be a positive advocate for Wood Mackenzie’s brand* Embrace, practise and demonstrate Wood Mackenzie’s core values on teamwork and collaboration, respect, integrity, fairness and valuing diversity#LI-HH1**About You**You are passionate about the energy sector and the role it plays in delivering energy to the world. You understand that diversity of experience and thought is important and that working across different geographies requires cultural appreciation.If you are looking for a role where you can be part of a dynamic team, that is supporting clients to make better informed decisions, and influence how we power our planet, apply now**.****Qualifications and Capabilities*** Minimum of a BSc in a Geoscience discipline; a data science qualification would be an advantage.* 5-10 years of Subsurface experience within the Upstream sector with a strong understanding of the petroleum geology of the EMEA region and deep exposure to common Subsurface use cases, workflows and data usage.* Demonstrable data analytical skills and experience of working with databases.* Up-to-date knowledge of the utilisation of AI across the Upstream Subsurface space.* Experience in external relationship building and management.* Strong commercial acumen.* Demonstrable curiosity with a track record of impactful innovation.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* A track record in demonstrating differentiated values and behaviours with a particular focus on teamwork and collaboration.**Expectations*** We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be required to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment.
