Overview
The Data, IT and Cyber Risk Team is part of the wider risk management function responsible for providing check and challenge to the first line over their risk profile.
As the new Senior Risk Manager - Data Risk, you will provide data risk second line opinion over the data first line. This includes ensuring that data risk is managed in line with the Group's risk appetite as well as ensuring that Data Risk Framework follows best practice.
Responsibilities
- The management of the Data Risk Team and its delivery of the annual plan. This includes the line management of the Data Risk Team across the Group and supporting any external resource as and when required.
- Supporting and engaging with 1LOD business and controls functions to ensure effective adherence to the Data risk management principles and framework, ensuring that 1LOD fully adheres to the 3LOD disciplines based on defined 1LOD and 2LOD roles and responsibilities.
- Ensuring that Data risk management is aligned to the Group's wider risk management framework, industry good practice standards, and regulatory expectations
- Ensuring second line oversight is provided as designed to ensure that the data used for financial reporting and to support legal and regulatory requirements is accurate, valid, reliable, traceable, timely, available, secure, and consistent.
- Ensuring that appropriate audit controls exist for data and analytics that serve as the source material for regulatory reports.
- Extensive experience in a similar senior manager role in Data Risk, including creating and implementing robust Data risk frameworks and procedures, is essential.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience working in a similar senior manager role in Data Risk, including creating and implementing robust Data risk frameworks and procedures, is essential.
- Proven track record in a data-related management role is essential.
- Experience of providing consultancy, challenge, advice and training relating to Data risk is desirable.
- Advanced demonstrable knowledge of generic tools such as spreadsheets for data analysis is essential.
- Degree or numerate equivalent is desirable.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a base salary dependent on experience from £68,000 - £80,000 and a competitive benefits package including:
