Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to the VP, Sales within Digital Solutions. This critical role will expand our B2B footprint, driving revenue growth and establishing long‑term partnerships with renewable energy clients. The role is offered on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the sales strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales to lead, motivate, coach, and guide the sales team.
  • Revenue Generation
    • Drive the growth of the sales pipeline and revenue streams for Digital Solutions.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market insights and competitor analysis.
  • Account Management
    • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
    • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional products and services beyond client expectations.
  • Market Expansion
    • Leverage market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and pursue new market opportunities.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and renewable energy sector developments.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Sales Execution
    • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations that highlight the value of our software, hardware, and control solutions.
    • Negotiate agreements with clients to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Sales Performance Analysis
    • Support KPI implementation for accurate forecasting and sales target tracking.
    • Utilize CRM systems to manage sales processes and drive efficiency.
  • Bid and Proposal Management
    • Manage the bid and proposal process, ensuring timely, high‑quality responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other opportunities.
  • Team Development
    • Build and lead a high‑performing sales team, fostering a collaborative culture of innovation and growth.
    • Participate in hiring, selection, and performance reviews, providing coaching and development opportunities.
    • Communicate a compelling vision and objectives to direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in sales operations or related roles within the renewable energy industry or a comparable technology‑driven sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in software, hardware/controls within renewable energy or technology sectors.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.
  • In‑depth knowledge of renewable energy industry dynamics and market trends.
  • Strategic thinking, translating business objectives into actionable sales plans.
  • Team‑player with strong influencing skills and a growth mindset.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment and traveling as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
