Senior Security Consultant (ChCSP/PriCSP CHECK Team Leader)

As a CHECK Team Leader Security Consultant you will play a key role across our full range of services, delivering high quality penetration testing and working closely with management to keep improving how we do things and maintain strong delivery standards.

The role is mainly remote, with occasional on‑site work and company days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests across a range of environments and technologies
• Lead engagements and act as a key point of contact for clients throughout delivery
• Perform quality assurance on deliverables to ensure clarity, accuracy, and actionable outcomes
• Present and discuss findings with stakeholders at varying technical levels, from engineers to senior leadership
• Support scoping activities and help define appropriate testing approaches for client needs
• Mentor and support junior consultants in developing their technical and professional skills
• Assist in improving internal processes, methodologies, and tooling
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, internal training, and capability development within the team
• Stay up to date with emerging threats, techniques, and industry trends

Requirements

• Qualified in either Application and or Infrastructure disciplines (CTL)
• SC or DV clearance
• Strong hands‑on penetration testing background across varied environments
• Solid understanding of common attack techniques, tools, and defensive controls
• Confident working directly with clients and discussing technical findings in a clear, approachable way
• Strong written communication skills, ideally with experience producing clear and actionable reports
• Ability to mentor and support junior testers
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Positive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and improve processes
• Keen interest in staying up to date with the latest vulnerabilities, techniques, and testing approaches
