About the role
The Senior Service Assurance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that IT services delivered by third-party suppliers meet contractual, financial, and performance expectations. This role leads the operational and strategic management of supplier relationships, service governance, and commercial performance. It supports the Head of Service Assurance in driving transformation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the IT supplier ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Contract & Commercial Management - Own and manage the operational lifecycle of IT service contracts, including renewals, compliance, and performance reviews, and track and report on contract budgets, forecasts, and actuals, ensuring financial discipline and cost optimization.
- Service Assurance & Supplier Governance - Lead the implementation of service assurance frameworks across key IT suppliers and support the development of governance models and forums to drive supplier accountability and service excellence.
- Strategic Support & Change Enablement - Contribute to strategic planning and transformation initiatives led by the Head of Service Assurance and lead change initiatives within the supplier ecosystem to improve service delivery and operational resilience.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication - Act as a key liaison between IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and business units on supplier and service matters and communicate performance insights, risks, and opportunities clearly to senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to have
- Significant experience in IT Service assurance, supplier management, or commercial IT roles.
- Strong understanding of IT service delivery models, outsourcing and including managed services.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-pound IT budgets and cost optimization initiatives.
- Skilled in Stakeholder engagement, supplier negotiation, performance management, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with ITIL, or similar service management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
It would be great if you also have
- Degree in Business, IT, Law, or related field.
- Professional certifications in contract management (e.g., CIPS, IACCM) or IT service management (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience working in complex and regulated industries such as healthcare or retail.
