Job Description:
The Role
As a Senior Software Assurance Consultant, you will support software delivery across multiple projects by providing Independent Technical Assessment of software in safety-critical aircraft systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Populating software safety arguments under a goal structure to establish a baseline for the software under review.
- Ensuring the software is developed according to recognized standards.
- Verifying that development and verification processes meet standards.
- Evaluating changes at the source code level written in SPARK Ada and reviewing associated Spark Analysis.
- Providing assessments suitable for the project and interfacing with QinetiQ systems and safety experts.
Essential experience:
- Strong knowledge of aircraft software development and standards.
- Extensive experience with safety-critical software development and safety engineering concepts.
- Experience as a Software Technical Assessor or in a safety-critical software engineering role.
Essential qualifications:
- A Technical Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or relevant experience.
