The Opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help us achieve our goals and deliver success on behalf of our customer by working with product teams to specify, design and deliver bespoke functionality. You will provide tactical software solutions outside the normal development cycle to support integration efforts.Supporting product and project teams in integrating ARIC with internal and third-party systems, developing new functionality as needed. You will review and investigate Engineering Triage requests, either addressing directly or referring to other Engineering teams; providing engineering resource by exception to support other Engineering teams during the software development cycle

  • Expert understanding of relevant technologies and ability to write optimised, scalable code.

This is a hybrid position, therefore we require 3 days per week in the office.

Required experience

  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Modern IDEs, source control and continuous integration systems.
  • Experience of designing and developing scalable distributed applications.
  • Knowledge of patterns and their trade-offs in a distributed environment.
  • Comfortable working with large codebases.
  • External API integration.
  • Code profiling and performance tuning.

Great to have

  • Experience of relational and /or NoSQL databases for large datasets.
  • Cloud platforms and automation.
