A leading Legal 500 firm with a stellar reputation operates from offices in SW London and the City. They are known for delivering City-level service without the corporate edge, offering an approachable, collaborative culture with a strong focus on client care. The firm seeks a Senior Associate to join its Dispute Resolution team in a visible, impactful role working closely with the Head of Department to manage a junior team and take on leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
This is not a back-office role — it is designed for someone who wants to shape and grow a department, have a voice at the table, and participate in management and business development.
The Role
The team is currently structured with a Partner/HOD, two Associates, and two Trainees. As the HOD also manages firm-wide compliance, the Senior Associate will provide both technical litigation strength and day-to-day leadership and oversight.
Key responsibilities include handling a high-level mixed caseload of civil, property and commercial disputes resolution matters including contentious probate, and actively contributing to the growth of the Dispute Resolution department through networking and business development. Supervisory duties include mentoring and managing performance and development of juniors and trainee solicitors.

Who they are looking for
- Qualified Litigation Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE across a broad mix of civil and commercial matters including property disputes and contentious probate
- Excellent Business Development experience with the desire to contribute to the continued growth of the firm
- Ability to manage junior team members, ensuring high performance and professional development
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with clients, team members and the wider firm
