Senior Solicitor – Property

Grade: SH08 – Camberley, Surrey.

Job Description

Surrey Heath Borough Council is recruiting a Senior Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the Legal Services team. The role is suitable for a commercial property solicitor or legal executive with over 4 years PQE.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of non‑contentious matters, focusing on landlord and tenant work relating to the council’s retail property portfolio.
• Advise on commercial property matters, proposed development sites, and other council matters as appropriate.
• Progress property transactions in collaboration with the council’s property team with minimal supervision.
• Carry out other legal matters within the property practice as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Commercial property solicitor or legal executive with 4+ years PQE.
• Experience in private practice or local government preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work independently.
