Recruitment Operations Advisor - Scotland - Private Practice and In House

A L500 ranked Renewable Energy department is seeking a Solicitor (2-6 PQE) to join a top-tier practice advising on some of the most significant and innovative Renewable Energy projects in the country.

If you're looking to move into a purpose-driven area of law with real momentum behind it and want to work in a team that advises a broad range of Renewable Energy Clientele, this role will certainly offer the platform, training and exposure to do exactly that.

Role

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Solicitor to join this highly ranked L500 Renewable Energy department a respected Scottish firm, based in Glasgow. The team is deeply embedded in Scotland’s renewables sector and works with a broad range of clients including developers, funders, investors, landowners, community bodies and planning authorities.

The role will involve advising clients across the full lifecycle of Renewable Energy Projects. You’ll be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as exclusivity arrangements, options and leases, and carrying out due diligence for investors and funders. You will also support clients operating in the renewable energy supply chain and advise on land and property matters relating to energy infrastructure projects.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects across sectors such as onshore wind, hydro, solar, battery storage and marine energy. You will play a key part in a team that has advised on deals representing a large proportion of Scotland’s total renewable electricity capacity.

The firm genuinely encourages its lawyers to immerse themselves in the sector beyond day-to-day legal work. Whether it's attending key industry events, contributing to sector publications, or building relationships within the renewables community, you're supported to develop your profile and stay connected to the fast-moving energy landscape.

Your Experience

• Candidates with experience in energy, commercial property or rural property work will be considered
