Senior Sports Medical Scheme Administrator - Football
Job Summary
Health Partners Europe Ltd are market leaders in third-party medical administration, healthcare consulting, and risk solutions for business and elite level sports.
We are seeking an experienced Medical Insurance professional to join our Football team. This senior role goes beyond day-to-day administration, requiring someone who can motivate colleagues, mentor staff, and play an active role in developing team knowledge and capability.
The ideal candidate will be confident in managing medical insurance cases, comfortable engaging with high-profile sports clients, and able to build strong working relationships with both colleagues and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of administration across the football medical schemes, ensuring compliance with scheme specific benefit limits, eligibility, and rules.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex cases, providing expert guidance and resolutions.
- Assist in mentoring and training team members whilst encouraging a culture of collaboration and learning.
- Motivate and engage colleagues to achieve service excellence and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Manage accurate invoice processing, investigations into treatments, and resolution of client queries.
- Provide meaningful analysis and insights on medical schemes to support decision making at both team and client level.
- Build strong client relationships, providing clear and professional advice in sensitive or high-profile situations.
- Support the ongoing development of best practice processes to drive team efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Produce and review reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Experience & Skills Required
- Experience in medical insurance administration
- Effective leadership qualities with the ability to influence and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to adapt style to high-profile individuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good knowledge of Excel.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Proven experience in managing complex queries and providing effective resolutions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to wider team objectives.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9am–5.30pm / Friday 9am–5pm (1-hour unpaid break each day)
Hybrid working: One day per week from home (once fully trained)
