The Role
As Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager / Director, you will take ownership of driving new business opportunities and growing strategic relationships with national adviser firms, networks, and key distribution partners. You’ll combine high-level relationship management with targeted business development, working closely with senior decision-makers to create long-term value for both parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to win, grow, and retain partnerships with nationals and networks.
- Act as the primary relationship lead for key accounts, ensuring strong alignment and mutual value creation.
- Identify and convert new commercial opportunities, leveraging your existing network and industry insight.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial terms, ensuring both compliance and commercial viability.
- Collaborate with internal teams (investment, marketing, operations) to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional partner experiences.
- Monitor performance against agreed objectives, using data-driven insight to optimise strategies.
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and partner forums to raise profile and strengthen relationships.
About You:
- Proven track record in strategic partnerships, business development, or sales within financial services – ideally investment management or a related sector.
- Strong network of contacts across nationals, networks, and large adviser firms.
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to close high-value agreements.
- Confident and credible when engaging with senior stakeholders at C-suite and board level.
- Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
