Senior Structural Engineer - Manchester (Hybrid Working Available) – Competitive Salary + Benefits + Bonus Scheme
We're working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer for their Manchester office. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex structural projects across sectors such as defence, nuclear, public sector, highways, and industrial infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who is looking to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structural designs to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Support project leaders and contribute to the management of structural design teams.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, CDM regulations, and HSE best practices.
- Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in design and delivery processes.
About You
- Chartered or near-chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE).
- Solid experience in structural design of building structures and foundations.
- Strong understanding of structural codes, standards, and design tools.
- Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Familiar with CDM regulations and health & safety responsibilities.
- Eligible for (or currently hold) SC security clearance.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Previous involvement in nuclear, defence, public sector, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience with seismic design, ground improvement techniques, or advanced structural analysis tools.
- Understanding of technical assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
