Senior Structural Engineer - Manchester (Hybrid Working Available) – Competitive Salary + Benefits + Bonus Scheme

We're working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer for their Manchester office. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex structural projects across sectors such as defence, nuclear, public sector, highways, and industrial infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who is looking to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural designs to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Support project leaders and contribute to the management of structural design teams.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, CDM regulations, and HSE best practices.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in design and delivery processes.

About You

• Chartered or near-chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE).
• Solid experience in structural design of building structures and foundations.
• Strong understanding of structural codes, standards, and design tools.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Familiar with CDM regulations and health & safety responsibilities.
• Eligible for (or currently hold) SC security clearance.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

• Previous involvement in nuclear, defence, public sector, or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience with seismic design, ground improvement techniques, or advanced structural analysis tools.
• Understanding of technical assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
