Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is required.
Undertake relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to meet the ongoing demands of the role and RICS requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to work corporately and represent the service within the Council and with key public sector stakeholders, including health services, government departments, the Combined Authority, and other local authorities.
Identify and maximise opportunities for income generation, efficiencies, and revenue savings; implement improvement plans as necessary.
Possess effective research and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and coherently.
Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrate effective negotiation skills with third-party businesses, developers, property professionals, and external stakeholders.
Provide property-related advice, including land acquisition and disposal by agreement or compulsory purchase, with accurate and up-to-date property information.
Have a good knowledge of estate management procedures and legislation.
Possess knowledge of asset valuation and management within a local authority environment.
Understand Landlords and Tenants legislation relevant to managing local authority investment assets.
