The Role

As a Senior Systems Integration Lead Engineer, you will lead on integration and system engineering in our expanding engineering team for a major UK programme. This role represents a fantastic and rare opportunity to play a senior role in a dynamic delivery team, working on new and exciting projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work collaboratively in a team of multi‑discipline engineers, subject matter experts and the customer to mature and develop creative solutions for our current and future clients. You will use your knowledge and skills to ensure the development of the right solutions, combined with robust testing and acceptance.

  • Lead engineering work packages across Radio Frequency Development projects, including planning activities, managing requirements traceability through the Systems Requirement Document, and ensuring technical authority for all integration activities with DSRS.
  • Lead Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities against the SRD through maintaining a Validation, Verification, Requirements Matrix. Produce test plans, cases and scripts for system development to provide traceability back to the requirements.
  • Develop a holistic view and plan for all DSRS Integration activities through leading the definition of activities in response to customer change.
  • Act as the customer liaison for all site integration activities through participating in the development, building, testing and trialling of solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation of high‑quality project documentation, report to PEM on technical delivery and output, and lead and inspire junior systems engineers.

This role is full time (37 hours per week) and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.

Essential Experience

  • Requirements writing, analysis and management within an MoD context.
  • Experience leading, planning and delivering design‑build‑integrate engineering projects, including schedule, risk, assumptions and leadership to ensure the team is tasked effectively.
  • Experience of power distribution, UPS, rack design layout and cabling design.
  • Full lifecycle, demonstrable system and solution architecture design and delivery experience.
  • Design for MoD installations in accordance with SCIDA requirements / JSP 604 and AUTOCAD, plus technical report writing experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering. An HNC/HND with relevant experience is valued.
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer, or working towards one.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
