Techniche Global is supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Senior Test Engineer. You will manage and deliver our Client’s System Integration and Testing requirements, ensuring that the system delivered is fit for use and purpose. You will lead project teams, managing staff and providing technical leadership to support both new and existing customers, contributing to Defence modernization.

Salary: £50-65k

Location: Portsmouth - hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days WFH)

Duration: Permanent, full-time; 37 hours/week

Requirements: Eligible for SC Clearance

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership and assurance by understanding and interpreting technical standards.
• Supporting the development of Test staff in technical disciplines and resourcing decisions.
• Developing design and implementation of IT Technical test frameworks.
• Producing technical delivery plans and documentation, including reports and presentations.
• Understanding market requirements and integrating future technology developments into solutions.

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience in IT System Integration, testing methodologies, and acceptance trails.
• Proven experience as a Technical Leader contributing to success and growth.
• Broad understanding of System Engineering, System Integration, and System Testing.
• Ability to make complex judgments based on analytical thought with commercial awareness.
• Experience in problem identification and pragmatic solutions.

Essential Qualifications

• A first degree in Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
