OverviewSenior Transmission Line Project Engineer role at POWER Engineers, a Member of WSP, to provide support in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Business Unit and lead and support domestic and international transmission line projects up to 765 kV. We offer in-office, hybrid, and remote work styles.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV.Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to establish an efficient and effective project plan.Create and maintain project schedules.Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to outline upcoming deliverables and assign clear responsibilities.Coordinate with clients on project status and participate in project meetings as needed.Maintain project workflow and clear communication across multi-disciplinary projects internal and external to POWER.Forecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planning.Adhere to POWER’s QA/QC procedures.Participate in industry conferences to grow professionally and share knowledge with colleagues.Demonstrate transmission line design expertise in PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, material procurement, construction specifications, methods, estimates, and support.Lead project teams of varying sizes.Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities as needed.Project Manager (PM) SupportAssist the Project Manager with project status reports.Help develop scope, schedule, and budget for new projects with PMs.Identify out-of-scope items and support scope variances.Provide weekly or bi-weekly project updates and forecasts.Lead and/or support client meetings, both in person and remotely.Develop client relationships to position POWER for future work.Department SupportSupport resource forecasting.Support recruitment efforts.Provide business improvement methodologies and procedures.Support staff performance and technical development with department leadership.Contribute to business planning efforts.Required Education/Experience10+ years of experience in the transmission field, managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-90.Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.Strong written and verbal English communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.Preferred Education/ExperienceField program planning, management, and execution.Subcontractor management.Cost estimating and scheduling.Field experience.MBA degree from an accredited university.Involvement in technical societies (IEEE, CIGRE, ASCE, etc.).Experience using ArcGIS, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and Foundation Design Software (FAD Tools, SHAFT, LPILE).POLE and TOWER experience.Compensation and BenefitsSalary: DOE; base pay typically in the range of $127,000–$156,000 annually, may be higher or lower based on knowledge, skills, and experience.Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Holidays, Vacation/Paid Sick Leave, Voluntary Life Insurance, 401K, Telehealth, Maternity/Paternity Leave, New Dads and Moms Benefit, Fertility Benefits, Gender-affirming care.Equal OpportunityPOWER is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including women, minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
