The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to theRegional Head of Construction,youwillunderwrite profitable new and renewal business to meettheConstructionline of business targetin accordance withunderwriting guidelines and underwriting authority.You will negotiate terms and conditionsand take ownership of yourownkey accounts/clientsas well as develop and maintain strong relationships withour broking and client partners in co-ordination with our distribution / client relationship team.

Some of your specific responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targetsin line with Underwriting Guidelines.
• Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modeling and interpretation ofnatcatscenarios.
• Ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time ofinception.
• Ensureutilisationof global pricing tools.
• Support development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for the Line of Business (LoB)and support key business initiatives.
• Maintain and generate newclient and brokerrelationships.
• Contribute tointernalkey projects.
• Ensurefileisestablished(whether electronic or paper) andmaintainedfor each risk and transaction.
• Assistwith the learning and development of more junior team members
• Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes.
• Positively represent Allianz Commercialexternally to the market.

WhatYou’llBring to the Role

• Aminimum5years’proventrack recordin Underwriting profitableConstructionbusiness.In depth understanding ofLoBproducts and portfolio.In depthunderstanding of regional/localLoBinsurance markets and competitor landscape.
• Demonstrable,establishedrelationships with brokers at peer group level.
• Preferably a degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance,Engineeringor otherappropriate discipline.
• Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant toline of business.
• Ability toportfolio manage andanalysetrends andlossscenarios.
• Excellent analytical skillstoanalysehighly complexdata, from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade and motivate others.
• Ability toutilizeAI tools to support day-today tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making
