This role sits within our Global Corporate Specialty (GCS) Pricing team. Working within a team of pricing experts, you will be responsible for working with internal partners such as Underwriting and Claims to identify areas to optimise portfolio performance including large loss trends, delivering robust and accurate insight to enhance underwriting performance.

Within the role you will work closely with colleagues from across the business to identify the right opportunities to achieve profitable growth and deliver for our customers. You will also mentor, support and develop a team to ensure wellbeing and intelligently achieve appropriate customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Examine pricing data and conduct portfolio performance analysis to contribute to the achievement of financial targets and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Underwriting and Claims to optimise portfolio performance, including large loss trends.
  • Deliver robust and accurate insights to enhance underwriting performance.
  • Identify opportunities to achieve profitable growth and deliver value for customers.
  • Mentor, support and develop team members to ensure wellbeing and appropriate customer outcomes.

Skills and experience

  • Understanding of London Market lines of business, risks, and market dynamics
  • Understanding of pricing concepts, financial KPIs and performance measurements
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills including proficiency in Python or R
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management; ability to manage and prioritise workload with business objectives
  • Ideally working towards an actuarial qualification
