You will architect the future of UX at Lloyds Banking Group, setting the vision, pace, and ambition for how we design experiences that matter. In partnership with Design Leadership, you’ll ignite a movement: transform how we collaborate, create, and deliver impact at scale. As a strategic force within the Design Delivery Practice, you will unite and inspire a vibrant community of UX designers. Your influence will shape not only the craft, but the culture of design at LBG – ensuring teams are ready for, and actively defining, the future. You’ll champion the integration of UX with Product, Engineering, and the wider BMX team, forging connections with leading design and tech communities beyond our walls. Our Community of Practice Lead roles are rotational, designed to ensure fresh leadership and expertise for the community on an ongoing basis. We support your career path to return to a permanent Senior UX Designer role after 1–2 years. What will I be doing?
Building Capability & Shaping the Future – Set the pace for the industry by scouting, piloting, and embedding groundbreaking UX trends, tools, and frameworks. Acting as an inspiring leader and mentor – Energise and elevate designers, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and bold thinking. Orchestrating events, design sprints, and showcases – Spark creativity, foster collaboration, and unite designers behind a shared mission. Designing learning experiences – Accelerate technical mastery and leadership growth, opening new pathways for career progression. Driving Impact & Rallying the Community – Partner with the Head of Design Delivery Practice and Senior Leadership to map our maturity journey and unlock new opportunities for growth across capability, culture, and craft. Representing UX at the highest levels – Influence strategy and champion the voice of design at the Experience Design Leadership Team (DLT) and beyond. Accelerating agility and excellence – Deliver next‑generation tools, frameworks, and processes that amplify our impact and set benchmarks for the industry. Collaborating on talent development – Reinvent onboarding, engagement, and talent development to inspire, support, and align all designers to our future vision.
