Our group Clinical Director is based at the main Newport site and is very much hands-on with clinical work and supporting the team. We have many certificate-holders within our group and encourage self-development, with full support from your team and financial support from the practice. We strive for high clinical standards, practice evidence-based medicine, run monthly morbidity and mortality meetings, and regular in-house CPD, practice meetings and encourage a caring and sharing culture. Our group consists of 6 vets with a mix of full and part-time, Our nurses are always on hand and most are comfortable with schedule 3 procedures.About the Practice LocationSouth Wales Vets was established over 10 years ago on Malpas Road in Newport and in that time we have grown from one to four branches, with locations in Risca, Abertillery & Blackwood. Here at Blackwood, we have the best of both worlds, with easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Countryside such as the Brecon Beacons National Park. At the main branch Newport we have top-of-the-range facilities including an ultrasound machine, endoscope, dental radiography and Idexx in-house lab equipment which you can arrange to use.
