We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Business Development to join our Global Clearing team. This role is located in London, United Kingdom - HYBRID
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Be responsible for deal origination for the Global Clearing Platform in EMEA, acting in compliance with all BNY policies and procedures.
- Will be assigned a specific New Business target for each financial year which will act as the key benchmark for annual performance.
- Drive deal structure and terms to optimize outcomes for both the client and the Firm, including by assessing and mitigating risks where necessary.
- Manage and prioritize sales pipeline, adhering to the defined Sales process, including keeping eCRM accurate at all times and managing to the required KPIs.
- Participate in and present opportunities to the Deal Council and Business Acceptance Committee.
- Negotiate with prospective clients on contracts, including fees and pricing, in partnership with Legal and Product teams.
- Once New Business has been won, facilitate the introduction of the assigned RM to the new client, allowing a seamless client experience when the RM assumes client responsibility.
- Develop and execute on the Business Development strategy for Global Clearing in co-ordination with Senior Management.
- Leverage understanding of the industry including business models, participants, new entrants, trends, and outlook to identify prospects across the target market.
- Able to travel as required, including attending industry events and conferences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in Business Development in Financial Services. Ideal candidate would have experience in Securities Finance, Liquidity Solutions, Securities Clearance and/or Prime Brokerage.
