Description

As our Senior Video Editor here at Build A Rocket Boy, you will be responsible for the production of trailers, gameplay showcases, developer diaries, and promotional videos that inspire and excite players.

As a key member of the marketing team, you’ll shape how our worlds, crossovers, and updates are introduced to the community through storytelling, visual precision, and high energy impact.

Working closely with creative leadership, marketing, publishing, and the capture team, you’ll deliver high-quality content on a fast-paced release schedule, setting our benchmark for video excellence at Build A Rocket Boy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver video content from concept to final, contributing creative ideas, storyboards, and structure to support each campaign.
  • Edit a wide range of content, including trailers, feature spotlights, developer diaries, teasers, and gameplay showcase’s for all Build A Rocket Boy products and marketing beats.
  • Maintain consistent high quality, using pacing, sound, and composition to deliver compelling and impactful results.
  • Experiment with evolving workflows and technologies, including AI-enhanced editing, motion graphics automation, and real-time engine capture.
  • Take feedback onboard constructively and adapt with creativity and confidence to refine and elevate each project.
  • Manage multiple projects across simultaneous campaigns, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Optimize videos for multiple platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Steam, etc.).
  • Organize, catalogue, and manage footage and project files.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 3 years' experience creating video content for 3D video games.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other industry-standard editing tools.
  • Extensive experience capturing game content in engine, preferably Unreal Engine 5.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and mastery of pacing, rhythm, energy, and tone.
  • Proven ability to take projects from idea to finished product, including pitching concepts, storyboarding, editing, and final delivery.
  • Knowledge of cinematic language and camera direction.
  • Skilled in sound integration, including music, voiceover, and SFX to enhance emotional impact.
  • Keen attention to detail with a proven ability to deliver exceptional quality under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative and self-driven, with a passion for games, innovation, and storytelling.
