Role
We are seeking a Senior YouTube Channel Manager to lead the editorial, creative, and strategic development of The Mirror channel. This role is responsible for growing audience reach, engagement, and revenue on YouTube while driving innovation. It is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with editorial, Studio and analytics teams. The ideal candidate is a platform-native thinker with strong editorial instincts, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for video editing. You will manage other Channel Managers within the business and be one of the lead YouTube specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead the editorial, creative, and strategic development of The Mirror YouTube channel.
- Grow audience reach, engagement, and revenue on YouTube and drive innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, Studio and analytics teams; manage other Channel Managers.
- Apply platform-native thinking and strong editorial instincts to guide video strategy and content decisions.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven track record of owning large, professional YouTube channels and delivering measurable growth.
- Fluency in YouTube Studio and Analytics; confident video editor; comfortable running A/B tests; able to turn data into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills: manage content calendars and production workflows; allocate resources wisely; stay calm under pressure and adapt to breaking news while maintaining quality.
