Your mission

We are looking for motivated and experienced Senior/Principal Civil Engineers to work on the design of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear power stations, and our future pipeline of projects. You will provide civil expertise to successfully deliver projects in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders and project teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and team management to deliver work packages effectively.
  • Coordinate and communicate on complex engineering problems among project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical review and respond to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment to support contractor activities on HPC site.
  • Conduct and review analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience with Ansys beneficial).
  • Provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawings.
  • Offer expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support the business development team during the tendering process for future projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered with ICE, IStructE, or equivalent experience with willingness to obtain Chartership.
  • Experience using Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
  • Familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standards, ETC‑C applicable to HPC/SZC).
