Service and Installation Engineer

Location: Field-based London Area (UK-wide travel)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

As a Service and Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and support of a wide range of medical and dental equipment. Your goal is to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction through hands-on technical expertise and professional client interaction.

• Install and configure medical imaging devices and dental equipment at customer sites.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service visits.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
• Provide on-site customer support and basic user training for clients.
• Complete service reports, documentation, and CRM updates in a timely manner.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and spare parts stock to high standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, support) to resolve complex issues.
• Represent DP Medical in a professional manner at all times.
• Travel across the UK, occasionally staying overnight when required.

• Technical experience in installation and maintenance of medical, dental, or other electronic/mechanical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of electrical safety, wiring standards, and schematic reading.
• Proven experience in field service or technical support roles.
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable using digital tools for reporting, scheduling, and remote support.

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Previous experience working with medical devices, dental imaging, microscopes, or surgical camera systems.
• Familiarity with medical safety testing protocols and compliance (e.g., IEC 60601).
• Full UK driving license.
