Service Charge Analyst

We're working with a forward-thinking housing provider currently going through an exciting period of positive change. They are looking for a motivated, detail-orientated Service Charge Analyst to play a pivotal role in ensuring service charge budgets, reconciliations, and reporting are accurate, transparent, and resident-focused.

You'll work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, supporting service charge improvement projects, monitoring costs, and helping to embed best practice across the organisation. Location: London Bridge (4 days) | 1 day work from home. Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum + fantastic benefits. Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract.

The Role

As Service Charge Analyst, you will:

  • Undertake regular accounting, reconciliation, and monitoring of service charge income and expenditure.
  • Review service charge costs monthly, identifying and resolving anomalies such as miscoding or omissions.
  • Prepare reconciliations and support the production of annual service charge budgets, estimates, and year-end actuals.
  • Provide clear, timely responses to service charge queries from residents and leaseholders.
  • Support organisation-wide service charge improvement projects.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation in mixed-tenure and complex schemes.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments to improve systems and processes.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in service charge computation, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of service charge legislation, leaseholder obligations, and sector best practice.
  • Previous experience in social housing or a related residential property environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
