The Care Leavers Service has an exciting opportunity for two full time Service Delivery Managers to join the service. These roles are being recruited to on a temporary basis, for a 12-month period, one of which is family leave cover.
Of the two Service Delivery Manager positions, one of the posts has a focus on developing the Care Leavers’ Hub offer and Staying Close Model which is a pilot model financed by the Department for Education and is designed to offer extra support to young people leaving care, with high support needs and vulnerability. This includes young people leaving care from children’s residential homes, hospital, care leavers experiencing homelessness, exploitation, former unaccompanied asylum seeking children, and young people in leaving custody. The Staying Close model is designed to provide an enhanced community of support including targeted housing support, designated Staying Close workers, therapeutic support and an increased offer from the Care Leavers’ Hub and partnership service offers.
This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidates to experience the service manager role on a seconded basis or act up basis and to be part of continuing the development of leaving care services and support in Leeds.
