Overview

We are seeking a strategic AI Policy Lead with proven AI governance expertise and a strong foundation in either Service Design, Product Management, or Business Analysis to drive the global operationalisation of our client's newly released AI Policy. This hybrid role combines deep AI policy knowledge with practical delivery capabilities across digital transformation projects. The position focuses on delivering AI governance transformation for a major client, requiring someone who understands AI ethics, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the definition and execution of AI policy implementation while leveraging your service design, product management, or business analysis background to ensure practical, user-centred delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a global programme to operationalise the client's AI Policy, translating principles into processes, guidance, assurance tools, and communications
  • Establish programme governance structures, ways of working, and delivery plans across internal and external contributors
  • Develop a scalable library of policy guidance, practical tools, templates, and training content to support compliant and ethical AI use
  • Oversee creation of AI use case inventory and risk assessment frameworks, tailored to identify and manage high-risk AI applications
  • Build and lead a global AI community of practice to share learning and champion responsible AI adoption
  • Collaborate with legal, data, and regulatory teams to embed up-to-date AI regulations and compliance requirements
  • Monitor, report, and mitigate high-priority risks arising from AI use, delivering regular stakeholder updates

Delivery-support Component

  • Apply your SD/PM/BA expertise to ensure AI policy frameworks are user-centered and practically deliverable
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions using your delivery discipline background
  • Design service blueprints, user journeys, or process maps to support AI governance implementation
  • Support broader client delivery work using your core discipline expertise when not focused on AI policy

Candidate Profile

  • Strong AI governance background - proven experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or AI policy implementation
  • Understanding of AI regulations - familiarity with frameworks like ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, OECD AI Principles, EU AI Act
  • Delivery discipline expertise - substantial experience in Service Design, Product Management, or Business Analysis
  • Transformation programme experience - track record designing and leading complex change programmes
  • Senior stakeholder management - ability to influence and engage executive-level decision makers
  • Communication excellence - can translate complex AI concepts into practical guidance for diverse audiences

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience operationalising AI policies or ethics frameworks in large organisations
  • Familiarity with AI development lifecycles, particularly generative AI applications
  • Public sector or highly regulated industry experience
  • Professional certifications in AI ethics, data governance, or your delivery discipline
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and multidisciplinary team working
