Overview
Manpower is seeking an interim SHE capabilities specialist - Digital to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, known for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This is a fully remote role with occasional travel to Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It is a full-time temporary position running until end October 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Flexibility with working hours to coordinate with multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Owner of select digital projects, solutions and/or products within the expertise platform; serves as the overall subject matter expert for these solutions.
- Monitors delivery progress within the scope of the expertise platform and learns diverse digital systems used in SHE and Unilever; understands interactions, implements chosen systems, and manages interactions.
Leadership
- Responsible for the delivery of these solutions and products for the Expertise Platform per the agreed plan within the year.
- Coordinates training sessions and/or trains users globally to enable successful implementation; provides guidance and support.
- Coordinates SMEs to ensure the solution/product functions as needed.
- Leads by example; promotes safe behaviours and practices and fosters a learning environment.
Strategy
- Supports the development of the Digital Strategy and Digital Architecture aligned with organizational goals for the expertise platform.
- Supports the assessment of digital needs by conducting organizational needs analyses for the expertise platform.
- Supports evaluation of effectiveness of the tool by tracking measures of success, user feedback and various evaluation methods.
Continuous Improvement
- Addresses functional issues, makes recommendations and builds improvements based on user feedback.
- Ensures solutions and products are user-friendly, fit for purpose and up to date.
- Assists in drafting revisions and amendments of functionality and functions.
- Stays up to date with new technologies and opportunities to improve solution functionality.
Teamwork
- Collaborates with SMEs and specialists within the SHE capability team and with users to ensure solutions deliver per plan.
- Fosters relationships within SHE and with other functions to ensure smooth daily functionality of solutions.
- Works with stakeholders inside and outside of SHE and external expertise to deliver per plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, finance, engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience in SHE, engineering, IT.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to deliver on time in full.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SHE management systems and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and site personnel.
- Certification in safety training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
Kingston Working Environment
- Contractors based in Kingston will be eligible for free parking at a local car park.
