OverviewSite Acquisition Manager, Data Center Planning and Acquisition — responsible for Data Center Delivery, including Fit-out, Cabling and service contracts to enable data center delivery to a high standard and timely manner. Collaborate with Strategy, Data Center Engineering, Operations, Capacity Planning and Global Supply Chain to manage complex construction and service projects in North America and Europe.ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders to understand capacity needs and site requirements in assigned metros/regions. Conduct data center market analysis, lead site acquisition strategy and drive executive decisions accordingly.Engage and bring qualified suppliers onboard and drive the end-to-end site acquisition / procurement process, including due-diligence and recommending leases for approval.Manage existing lease portfolios and continuously drive a long-term acquisition strategy for both cost efficiency and quality assurance. Experience with land & power acquisitions will be a plus.Work with cross-functional business partners to negotiate and prepare executable contracts.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications5+ years site acquisition experience in a mission-critical, large-scale production environment5+ years working in the datacenter, infrastructure, or other relevant segments.Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences or Business or technical discipline; Master’s/MBA preferred.In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, including both technical and commercial solutions.Confident in taking ownership, willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done with proven experience leading complex initiatives to successful completion in a timely manner.Preferred QualificationsStrong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.Willing to travel as needed.About UsFounded in 2012, ByteDance’s mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
