The Vacancy
The Horbury Group Ltd are seeking a Site Auditor to play a key role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency in line with The Horbury Way - our business strategy and operational framework.
In this role, you will conduct structured audits across multiple sites, assessing compliance against regulatory requirements, company standards and strategic objectives. By producing clear reports, highlighting strengths, and identifying areas for improvement, you will help drive a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured on-site audits covering operational processes, safety, quality, and compliance.
- Assess site performance against The Horbury Way and relevant regulations.
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports with actionable recommendations.
- Track and follow up on corrective actions with site management.
- Share best practices and insights to inform business-wide improvement.
- Support training and awareness initiatives to reinforce compliance and operational excellence.
- Build trusted relationships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach. You\'ll need to be resilient, adaptable, and confident working across multiple sites and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. The role requires flexibility for travel to sites nationwide, which may sometimes require staying away from home overnight if travelling to sites in the Southern region.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Effective communicator, able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proven experience in auditing, compliance, or operational excellence within construction, facilities management, or a related industry.
- Solid knowledge of health & safety, quality management, and operational best practice.
- High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements
- Relevant auditing or quality management qualification.
- NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and auditing methodologies.
- Experience applying a company-wide strategy or framework at site level.
