My client works UK wide on groundworks- drainage, retaining walls, ground slabs for new build timber frame and modular school and hospital projects. These packages tend to be in the tens of thousands to few hundred thousand £ range.

They are based close to Manchester and you would be in the office once per week on average and the rest of the time would be out and about visiting sites.

You will need to be proficient with Topcon instruments and will be responsible for setting out of works, monitoring and general management of the sites within your remit.

This offers a switched on Site Engineer the step up into a management position.

Multiple sites in different locations will keep this interesting- along with your daily rate you will have a company vehicle, expenses for fuel and any hotel and subsistence costs will be fully expensed.

The daily rate will be somewhere between £(Apply online only)- this reflects the requirement for an Engineer with around 2-4 years of relevant experience- This needs to be in groundworks subcontracting- ideally commercial but candidates with residential groundworks experience will also be considered.

Regular working away from home is an important factor to consider. There are some projects local to Manchester and the NW but many are further afield.
