As a main contractor, we specialise in the refurbishment and fit-out of commercial spaces, with a primary focus on workspaces. Our diverse project portfolio includes office refurbishments, industrial unit refits, retail spaces, gyms, and hospitality venues. We are also experienced in delivering specialised projects within the healthcare sector, such as laboratories, clean rooms, and chemical manufacturing plants.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced project Site Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee our nationwide fit-out projects to successful completion.
Job Description:
As a Site Manager at Shakery Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial fit-outs and refurbishments, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily site operations with precision and professionalism to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate subcontractors, site safety, quality control, and compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and motivate site teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and direct staff, to ensure a high level of performance and collaboration.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards across all aspects of the project, ensuring that workmanship meets the company's and clients' expectations.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Act as the primary site point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify potential issues and develop effective solutions to minimise project delays and cost overruns.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily site reports, financial documentation, and project timelines. Prepare and submit reports to senior management as required.
- Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and resources on-site, ensuring optimal use and minimal waste.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager in the commercial fit-out or refurbishment industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 software.
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid certification. (Preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (national travel is an essential part of the role).
