Overview

Site Reliability Manager within PNCs Site Reliability Center (SRC). Based in Farmers Branch, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Phoenix, AZ. The position is primarily based in a PNC location with weekly in-office or field requirements; some responsibilities may be performed remotely at the managers discretion. Occasional travel may be needed. Schedule is Mondayriday, 8:00am 5:00pm. This position leads teams across 3 shifts for 24/7 support. Candidates are expected to be available for critical production issues as required, including off-shift hours and weekends.

We are seeking an experienced Backup and Storage Manager to lead our enterprise Storage and Backup Operations team. This manager will be responsible for ensuring data protection, recovery, and performance across production environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Cohesity, Avamar, and Pure Storage technologies and a strong leadership background supporting mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Backup and Storage Operations team supporting 24/7 production environments
• Own the end-to-end backup and recovery strategy leveraging Cohesity and Avamar platforms
• Manage enterprise storage infrastructure with a primary focus on Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade)
• Optimize storage performance and availability across both virtual (VMware) and physical server environments
• Act as escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams on solution design and incident resolution
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and ensure compliance with data governance policies
• Coordinate vendor support engagements and drive proactive maintenance activities

Qualifications

Needed Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise backup and storage administration
• 3+ years of experience in a management or team lead role within IT Operations
• Deep technical expertise in:
• Cohesity DataProtect and Helios
• Dell EMC Avamar
• Pure Storage FlashArray / FlashBlade
• Solid understanding of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB)
• Experience managing backup and restore for both physical servers and virtual environments (VMware vSphere)
• Familiarity with integrating backup and storage with Windows, Linux, and database environments
• Strong incident and change management background (ITIL)
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow

Job Details

• Pay Transparency Base Salary: $110,500.00 $171,925.00
• Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
