We're looking for a Social & Digital Lead to spearhead our channel management, video content, stills, and social posting teams. This key role involves leading our Rugby Union channel management team, launching new products, and building teams.

A primary responsibility is to lead the team producing content for a major Rugby Union property across all social media channels, including YouTube.

This role offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of launching a new content concept, driving innovation, and delivering captivating material to fans worldwide.

• Ability to develop and present creative digital ideas from conception to delivery.
• Proven experience shaping the creative direction of a digital content provider.

Your Mission:

• Lead a talented team of social media producers, content producers, graphics operators, researchers, and editors, delivering content across all social channels for a major rugby union property.
• Foster a collaborative and creative environment, managing staffing and providing feedback.
• Act as a primary client contact, working with their digital content and marketing teams.
• Innovate and evolve Whisper’s digital content output, staying ahead of trends.
• Develop future plans, pitches, and expand the team as Whisper’s digital presence grows.
• Understand modern video, stills, and written content workflows, leveraging new technologies.
• Manage ad-hoc sponsor projects, delivering digital content on time and within budget.
• Plan content strategies for major tournaments and events, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.

The Skills You Bring:

• Experience leading a department managing rugby union channels and producing digital video content.
• Passion for rugby content and developing team members.
• Strong understanding of digital video workflows.
• Extensive knowledge and passion for English Rugby Union and its culture.
• Experience working closely with clients as the main point of contact.
• Background in managing budgets, rotas, and freelance staff management.

Location: Kew, London

Working Days: 5 days a week, with 4 days in the office and 1 WFH day. Schedule to be planned with the team. Lieu days provided for extra days worked. Flexitime options available.

Start: ASAP – initially a 12-month FTC.
