We’re looking for an exceptional Social Media & Digital Communications Officer to join our award-winning, forward-thinking team. You’ll play a key role in creating and delivering digital content that builds engagement across our membership services, products and events – including the Chartered ABS, the Small Business Charter, and the Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) scheme.

From writing social copy to video editing, from infographics to analytics – this is a varied and dynamic position where no two days are the same. You will be a vital part of the team delivering impactful communications that engage our members, promote our work, and increase the visibility of our campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating engaging social media content (written, visual and video) to support campaigns, events and advocacy
  • Managing and activating paid social advertising campaigns – primarily on LinkedIn
  • Analysing performance data (Google Analytics, social insights) to improve content effectiveness and user journeys
  • Planning social media content in alignment with marketing and campaign calendars
  • Growing and engaging online communities, especially for our CMBE programme
  • Working closely with colleagues and external agencies to deliver compelling video and multimedia content
  • Supporting the marketing of our events, training programmes, and conferences
  • Producing live event content and supporting leadership with digital toolkits and social briefings

What We’re Looking For:

Essential experience and skills:

  • Proven copywriting skills for social media and digital platforms
  • Experience creating visual content (e.g. infographics, social cards)
  • Ability to plan and schedule organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Strong video editing and production skills
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn advertising and campaign tools
  • Confident using CMS systems (ideally WordPress), Google Analytics, and CRM platforms (ideally Salesforce)
  • Data-driven approach to content performance and optimisation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative working style
  • Experience in a membership organisation, professional body, or academic setting
  • Knowledge of UK higher education and business schools
  • Experience with podcast editing
  • Commercial acumen and interest in policy or public affairs
