My leading Banking client is looking for a talented and motivated individual to lead the strategic transformation of their Software Asset Management (SAM) function and the lifecycle management of software assets across their EMEA business. You will modernise SAM practices, tools, and governance to ensure compliance, optimise software spend, and align with evolving business and technology landscapes. This is a newly created role in a greenfield department.

Location: London (good work from home options available)

Salary: Up to £80,000 + bonus + package

Level: AVP

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic transformation of the Software Asset Management (SAM) function and the lifecycle management of software assets across the EMEA region.
• Modernise SAM practices, tools, and governance to ensure compliance and optimise software spend.
• Align SAM activities with evolving business and technology landscapes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement processes and controls across the software asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Software Asset Manager position.
• Experience of enterprise-scale SAM operations.
• Experience with ServiceNow or Flexera.
• Financial Services experience is desirable.
