We are looking for a leader to join our Fulfillment team to own and drive the vision to build the next generation fulfillment platform to achieve our mission.
About the Opportunity
Value Added Services (VAS) team (also popularly known as Amazon Home Services (AHS)) in Hyderabad, India is building a WW Services platform which enables Amazon to seamlessly integrate professional services (including home improvement, installation, maintenance, and lifestyle services) with product purchases. We are building a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that connects qualified service professionals with customers while maintaining the highest standards of trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and driving technical excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute on the product roadmap
- Drive data-informed decisions to continuously improve the console experience
- Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and operational excellence
- Represent the team in interactions with senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic goals
- Innovate on behalf of customers by leveraging high value technologies, including Generative AI and other emerging tools
- Continuously seek ways to simplify complex tasks and improve user productivity
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
- 8+ years of industry experience working on a software development team (as an engineering manager)
- 5+ years of experience owning a program/product/feature, scoping requirements, planning milestones, project management and working with technical teams
- 5+ years of experience in building, growing and managing team of high caliber engineers
- Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program
- Good judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals
- Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Domain expertise in Retail, fulfillment & logistics domain
- Good systems integration and architecture experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience, or a Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
