We offer a dynamic, flexible career with a world-class employee experience and an inclusive culture recognized globally.About the JobThe Risk and Fraud R&D team is looking for a Software Development Manager to be responsible for the design and implementation of strategy set forth by the product management team. There are opportunities available for those with expertise and focus on the SAS Stress Testing product. You will manage and prioritize software development projects and resources to achieve department, division, and corporate objectives.As a Software Development Manager, You WillOrganize, develop, prioritize, and assign resources to deliver high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines, while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.Lead development project designs and enforce technical standards to ensure solutions are executed correctly across various supported environments (browsers, devices, operating systems).Lead test management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality and continue investment in test automation frameworks.Proactively lead and involve other project stakeholders (e.g. managers, developers, UI/UX designers, product managers) to ensure implementation satisfies functional requirements and aligns with R&D standards.Manage and lead project scoping and scheduling; track progress of tasks and alert executive management and stakeholders of concerns meeting schedules, following established R&D standards.Maintain accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for internal and external users.Ensure the veracity of design and technical documentation for internal and external audiences.Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customers, and others within SAS to influence product or project direction.Provide technical leadership through mentoring, training and managing team activities.Manage all aspects of the department including teamwork, performance management, feedback, and professional growth with SAS HR, SAS education and leadership.Lead tactical management of a functional area, feature, product, or multiple products or solutions.Work with senior management to develop, prioritize, and assign project objectives and responsibilities to resources.Mentor, train and manage daily activities of the team.Collaborate with product marketing and management to refine product/project direction.Ensure all applicable security policies and processes support the organization's secure software development goals.Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability as core values.Required QualificationsMinimum 8 years of related programming or testing experience, including one year of project lead, supervisory or management experience.Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably computer science, math, or statistics.Experience with Python programming language.Experience with CI/CD methodology.Strong knowledge in related programming languages, operating systems, development tools, procedures, and methodologies applicable to current projects.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead, manage and communicate goals to employees.Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.Strong decision-making ability.Ability to lead projects and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.Ability to understand and translate complex technical and business information to internal/external audiences.Right to work in the UK.Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.Additional Competencies, Knowledge And SkillsInspiring Others – Motivating individuals toward higher performance aligned with the organization’s vision and values.Global Perspective – Awareness of international market factors and leveraging global strategy to enhance results.Delegation and Empowerment – Assigning tasks with clear boundaries and support to accelerate results.Banking sector experience preferred.You are welcome here.
